I never let myself have those jarred Starbucks frappachinos that leave me shaking just a little from sugar + caffeine except when I’m on the road -- and I love them! Plus mozzarella sticks from Sheetz, if available, and, for reasons unknown to me because I don’t even like them that much, Bugles. (Sometimes Chex Mix, which I like better.) Now that I write it all out I guess I kind of have a whole thing, don’t I? Hope you’re having a delicious time!

Bugles are good with a peanut M&M in them

The only time I eat Combos (cheese-filled pretzels) is on the road.

Mountain Dew & Slim Jims, the breakfast of champions & road dogs. Drove through Kansas many times going back & forth to college, the Mecca of bizarre little museums, e.g., world's largest prairie dog, museum of ibdependent telephony, greyhound racing hall of fame. All worth stoppong for.

I don't have any favorite road food. This is good in KC:

I like to find weird regional brand potato chips, though I go with the plain variety because I'm not that experimental with flavors. I've spent a lot of time in Wichita, though it's been close to a decade since I was there. Enjoy the trip!

I wish I saw more of those. You ever had Zapp's Voodoo or Crawtator? I can send some. Louisiana

I have not. I've only been to Louisiana once and I didn't get a chance to haunt my usual types of places.

If you are anywhere that sells Utz they’ll have Zapps chips - at least the voodoo. They bought them.
